HOW Total Alkalinity UP WORKS:
Total Alkalinity Up is used for raising the Total Alkalinity of spa and hot tub water. The ideal Total Alkalinity of spa and hot tub water is between 80 and 120. If a test kit reading indicates that the Total Alkalinity is less that 80, you will probably experience itchy skin and eye irritations. When used to maintain proper Total Alkalinity levels, this product eliminates eye irritation, chlorine odor and corrosion caused from low Total Alkalinity
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
This product should be used on an as needed basis to maintain proper Total Alkalinity. If a test kit reading indicates that the Total Alkalinity is less than 80, sprinkle 2 1/4 teaspoons of Total Alkalinity Up directly into spa for every 500 gallons. Wait 2 hours and test again. If still low, continue adding. If Total Alkalinity reading is above 120, add pH Down per label directions. Always adjust the Total Alkalinity before you adjust the pH.
APPLICATION:
Maintain continuous circulation, distribute required amount in the middle of the spa or in front of a jet.
